Health Ministries Network (HMN) in Bellingham WA is looking for a dynamic, experienced part-time nurse educator to prepare Faith Community Nurses (FCN) and Health Ministers (HM) for positions in local congregations and community organizations. The primary responsibilities for this position are:

• Advertise the hybrid Faith Community Nurse and Health Ministries Course
• Screen, FCN and HM applicants
• Manage course logistics, on-site and online
• Facilitate one Foundation in Faith Community Nursing hybrid training program in Spring 2019
• Coordinate and teach beginning and ending classroom sessions (with the help of other FCNs, health ministers and mentors)
• Monitor and provide feedback for online student assignments
• A creative mind, a flexible spirit, and a sense of humor are welcome

• Adult learning/teaching experience
• BSN is preferred; an advanced degree is a plus
• Completion of the Foundations in Faith Community Nursing course
• Working knowledge of and experience in computer-based learning
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Power Point)
• Completion of the FCN Education Coordinator Course, Church Health Center, Memphis TN, if course is available. Course and travel expenses will be paid by HMN
• Ability to articulate their philosophy of nursing care as it applies to Faith Community Nursing specialty
• A creative mind, a flexible spirit, and a sense of humor are welcome

Although Faith Community Nursing (also known as Parish Nursing) originated in the Christian tradition, it now serves people of all faiths and spiritual paths. HMN is associated with the Community Health Ministry of the Church Health Center, an international faith-based health advocacy organization based in Memphis TN.
